Glee:

If it weren’t for the heavy handedness of the PRC, Glee-East would be the massive sino-pop super-star brother to the American-Pop Hit-Show. Yet, since there is no Glee-East, so we’ll have to explore that which is.

The Music of Glee, which is actually the music of American Pop adapted by Hollywood, to produce the music of American Pop, is a remarkably perfect self contained loop. Producing a market for both the new product AND the old product; the epitome of brilliant producing. This is Glee at it’s finest and we can all appreciate a well hatched plot to exploit western consumers. Unfortunately, it’s only okay until it hits home; until they remake your favorite song from your youth, cut it into pieces, and abuse the music and lyrics to fit the trite plot of their show so horrifically until you’re crying into your vomit.

Remarkably to this point, Glee Season two, Volume 5 offers a particularly poignant track (13) that I’m eager to pass along to PasileyTunes SuperUser Mr. S.Simple. I hope he enjoys it and all readers enjoy this masterfully despicable journey through pop.

  1. This could be the worst contribution to the site to date.. It’s important to set the bottom – so that people understand how high the top actually is.
