Jim Noir: The End

The belated February exclusive for Jim Noir has been released. Another 6-track EP full of new and interesting studio-science creations. Beginning with Intero as a gentil warm-up to the omnipresent Horses With Insurance that lays a heavy organ drum combo, not unlike some of his earlier musings. I Am You Are lands the spaceship onto Planet Noir where we learn all about life and the decisions we make while, I presume, we skip through fields of flowers past shoppes and dancing mailmen. Jim and I are holding hands until, of course, Blue Song. The Jim Noir Rap is a delightful short ode to the artist, presumably done by his computer in respect. What an honor. Lastly, track 6, I’ve Been Respecting You Mr Barry, brings the album together with a 5 min Noir-esque ambient beats-and-keys manifestation.

Hopefully the title is not indicative of Noir’s monthly releases, but if it is, it’s been a fun and interesting 13 months of EPs. A model all artists should embrace at some time in their career.

  1. An excellent contribution.. and what an honor for Jim Noir to have a tribute sung by Stephen Hawking.

  2. This is, in fact, the end of Noir’s monthly releases.
